Baptism Preparation

"Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you." (Matthew 28:19-20)

Baptism is the first step of a person's initiation into the Catholic Community. In Baptism, the person is "annointed" to continue the mission started by Jesus, to live out the Gospel Message - which is a life-long journey -  and also becomes a member of God's Family, the Church.

A parent is a child's first teacher and the formation of faith needs to begin in the home.  Together the parent(s) and parish community form a "partnership", supporting each other in the faith formation of the child.

When new parents contact us requesting Baptism for their child, they are put in contact with Maura Vazquez, our Faith Formation Coordinator (for an English Baptism); or Sr. Pat VandenBergh, our Hispanic Pastoral Minister (for Spanish Baptism). They will set up a time for the Baptism and arrange an informational session to better prepare the family for the Sacrament. Parish Office Phone #- 468-7848.

English baptisms take place at either the 4:00pm Mass on Saturday, or the 9:30am Mass on Sunday.  Spanish baptisms take place at noon on Saturdays.
